Senior citizen and disabled homeowner tax relief
The Tax Assessor's duties are to discover, list and value all real estate, personal property (business) and motor vehicles. We value on a fair and equitable basis, according to Connecticut General Statutes to ensure that each property owner realizes an appropriate share of property tax burden. Our office creates and maintains the annual Grand List of all real estate, personal property and motor vehicle assessments so that the legislative body may establish a basis for taxes.
